Battle Queue

Overview

The Battle Queue is a matchmaking system that allows you to battle against other players. There are two modes; Ranked and Random. For Ranked, you must have a full team of Pokemon to join. Participants will be given a rating, increasing or decreasing as you win or lose, which will determine your ranking on the in-game leaderboards.

Location

It can be accessed by clicking the Battle Queue icon in the user interface alongside Settings.

Bans/Clauses

Below is the URL to the official ruleset and information on bans and clauses for each format:

Note: For the link to work you will need to copy it, open a new tab, then paste it.

Rating Decay

In order to keep your rating from decaying (falling) over time, you are required to do at least 20 ranked battles each week (5 for random). For each battle you don't play, you will lose 5 points that week.

This decay happens weekly on Monday at 02:00 UTC.

Rewards

Battling in the Battle Queue will reward you with PvP Tokens. These can be exchanged for rewards at the PvP Prize Exchanger, located in the PvP Building in Vermilion City.

The rewards differ depending on whether you are playing Ranked or Random.

A match must last at least 10 turns to be eligible for "losing" tokens.

Random

Ranked

Ranked Battle Queue matches (does not include Random Battle Queue) that last at least 20 turns will receive an extra PVP Token or 2 if the match lasts at least 40 turns. This counts regardless if the person wins or loses.

The top 200 ranked players receive daily rewards at 01:00 UTC:
